The golden version of the Vendox, the symbol’s most common form.



the main symbol of Astronism, characterised by a central book surrounded by twelve stars and two lines that come to almost form a circle but instead spread out vertically. It is especially used to represent the denomination of the Astronist Institution, the copyright holder of the symbol in many countries.

Origin and etymology

  • Astro-English: from Astronese, the prefix ven-, denoting visual association, combined with the suffix -dox which itself derives from the suffix -doxy, denotes doctrine; meaning ‘visuality of doctrine.’
