Uniquitarianism, or uniquitarian philosophy, sometimes shortened to uniquinism, is a worldview or outlook that holds its roots in the ontological theory of uniquity, or unique beingness within the Astronic philosophical tradition, particularly within Astronism and Millettarianism. As a term, it was first introduced within The Omnidoxy and later in The Millettarian Methodology.
There exists three forms of uniquitarianism, the first of which is standard uniquitarianism which notions that only sentient beings hold uniquity while the second of which is known as hyperuniquitarianism which holds that not only do all sentient beings hold uniquity, but so do all non-sentient beings.
The third of which is fundamental uniquitarianism which holds that each separate entity in existence holds its own unique beingness, or uniquity. This formulates an ontological understanding in which individuality becomes uniqueness.
Uniquitarianism holds its roots within Millettarian philosophy, but it holds a wide-ranging applicability across different disciplines which has formulated distinctly uniquitarian approaches to understanding those disciplines, including uniquitarian economics, uniquitarian anthropology, uniquitarian psychology, and uniquitarian sociology.
In the context of Astronism, knowledge is perceived via a uniquitarian epistemology which is epistemology according to the uniquitarian belief in the uniquity of all things. As a result of this, in Astronism, knowledge is considered to be unknowable and untrustworthy due to the inability of the agent of knowledge (human mind) to encompass all available knowledge therefore the knowledge we are able to attain can never be trusted to be the whole knowable knowledge. In conclusion, the only trustworthy or "knowable knowledge" is our own unique perception of the knowledge available as there is considered to be no such thing as an external knowable knowledge.
Meanwhile, belief is provided with a much more positive outlook from the Astronist uniquitarian perspective as belief is considered to transcend knowledge due to the fact that knowledge is not required to formulate belief.
Self-love in uniquitarianism
A debate continues in uniquitarian philosophy regarding the role of self-love. It was postulated by Cometan post-omnidoxically that self-love was essential to the discovery and realisation of one's own uniquity, thus it was held that to be a uniquitarian also meant to be self-loving. It was held that the capacity to self-love was central to the Astronist ontology and that self-love was the necessary precursor to loving others by seeing their others' uniquities.
