Theoretical Astronism, also referred to as Abstract Astronism, is one of four primary forms of Astronism and was first developed within the founding text of the philosophy, the Omnidoxy.

Theoretical and philosophical Astronism are similar to one another, however, theoretical Astronism is defined by its focus on the methodologies of disseminating Astronism, Astronism's physical and practical place in the world and different societies, the categorisation of Astronism, the comparison of Astronism to other systems of belief, as well as any other written or oral accounts of Astronism that are not necessarily philosophical, or are not involved in the explanation of Astronist beliefs and concepts.
