the prehistoric practice of signifying the seasons for agricultural purposes by tracking the movements of the constellations; considered, in Astronist theory, an important factor in the development of astronomical religion, particularly the popularisation of astrolatry as the precursor to astromancy.

The concept of temporalisation became central to the narrative of utility in prehistoric astronomical religion as part of Cometan's historiography of the Astronic tradition for the Upper Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods.
