Sir Robert Moone (January 3, 1555 – January 2, 1616) was an English clockmaker from Newsham and the 12th great-grandfather of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Prescott family line. Born in Hollowforth, Lancashire, Sir Robert married his wife Lady Alice Dilworth at age twenty-nine in Woodplumpton on 3rd April 1584. Sir Robert died at the age of sixty in 1615.
