Sir Knight Richard Radcliffe, Le Puigne (c.1320 – July 19, 1380) was the 24th great-grandfather of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s medieval paternal ancestors in the Taylor family line. Born in Ordsall, Lancashire, Sir Richard was the husband of Maud Matilda de Radcliffe and is also known to have been the father of Joan de Hoghton. He was also the son of Sir John Radcliffe of Ordsall and Joan Holland. Sir Richard is thought to have died at Rossendale Water in Rossendale, Lancashire.
In Cometanic ancestry, Sir Richard is categorised as part of the 26th generation retrograde, and because he was born before 1453, he is classified as a medieval ancestor of Cometan, a title that is rarely bestowed.
