Sentientism, pre-Astronistically known as cosmic pluralism, is the belief orientation that is categorised as one of The Seven Tenets of Association in Astronism and involves the belief and advocation for the existence of sentient life on planets other than The Earth as well as the diversity of sentient species beyond that of humanity. It is a form of cosmic pluralism which goes beyond the basic belief in extraterrestrial life and specifically suggests that there exists intelligent, or sentient life, even beyond that of humanity, on worlds other than The Earth and that these non-human civilisations should be sought out by humanity and subsequently discovered as part of the process known as exocculturation within the beliefs of transcensionism.
