Robert Wilcock (March 7, 1595 – 1678) was the 10th great-grandfather of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant paternal ancestors in the Hardacre family line. Born in Bassingham, Lincolnshire, Robert is recorded as having been the son of John Hughe Wilcocke and Katherine Gibson.
The identity of Robert’s spouse is unknown although he is recorded as having fathered at least one child who was named Margareta in 1639. Robert’s place of death is Baltimore County, Maryland in the American Colony at the age of eighty-three which means, if this information is true, that he travelled across to the American Colony from England sometime between the age of seventy-three and his death. The likelihood of this place of death is in dispute however.
In Cometanic ancestry, Robert is categorised as part of the 12th generation retrograde, classifying him as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
