In the Astronist philosophy of religion, religious aspiration, also referred to as the religious goal, is a post-omnidoxical theory of religion of Cometanic origin stating that in every religion, there exists an essential, core goal or aspiration that every adherent is fixated on achieving. This aspiration can be most accurately described as being the driving force of the religion's belief system.

Examples in religions:

  • Astronism –– achievement of cosmosis
  • Buddhism –– achievement of enlightenment (breaking the cycle of samsara)
  • Christianity –– reaching heaven
  • Hinduism –– breaking the cycle of samsara
  • Islam –– reaching paradise
  • Jainism –– breaking the cycle of samsara
  • Spiritualism –– being able to communicate with the deceased
