The origins of the Omnidoxy is a major area of study for scholars of omnidoxicology, the established discipline dealing with the study of the founding text of Astronism. It is factually held that Cometan began writing the Omnidoxy at around the age of seventeen during which time he referred to the text as The Grand Centrality. As proclaimed by Cometan, his sole authorship of the text was driven by an extensive series of personal inspirations which lasted at total of seven years, the final five of which were used to compile his ideas together to form the text which would become known as the Omnidoxy. The Grand Centrality became the wider document within which the Omnidoxy resided and included other works of Cometan during that time which were not directly related to Astronism, and involved a wide array of topics including economics, politics, and ideology.
