an collective term for the series of archaeoastronological sites found in Sardinia; ancient buildings constructed by untrimmed stones whose entrances and corridors are astronomically-aligned with particular attention paid to aligning with Centauri A and B and the Southern Cross.
Origin and etymology[]
- Astro-English: from Astronese, the title Nuraghi of Sardinia was coined by Cometan as a collective term for all Sardinian nuraghi and was popularised following Cometan’s inclusion of these Nuraghi into the Astronic tradition.
