John Lancaster (1843 – June 8, 1888) was an English innkeeper and the 3rd great-grandfather of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Warbrick family line. Born in Whittle-le-Woods in Lancashire, John is known to have married Isabella Lee and to have had at least one daughter named Elizabeth Lancaster in 1862 who links John to Cometanic ancestry.

John was the landlord of the Royal Oak pub and inn at Brindle. The identity of John’s parents remain unknown. John is recorded as having died in April 1888 in Whittle-le-Woods, Lancashire. John’s estate reached probate on 14th July 1888 and it summed £242, 19 shillings, and 4 pennies.

In Cometanic ancestry, John is classified as part of the 5th generation retrograde, categorising him as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
