James Warbrick (September 1819 – December 31, 1894) was an English wheelwright and the 3rd great-grandfather of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Warbrick family line. Born in Garstang, James is recorded as having been baptised on 26th September 1819.

James is known to have married Ellen Tootell on 8th September 1856 and to have had nine children named Margaret (b. 1858), Henry (b. 1860), William (b. 1862), John (b. 1864), Jane (b. 1865), Elizabeth (b. 1866), Ellen (b. 1868), Winifred (b. 1870), and James (1874).

It is the son William Warbrick that links James to Cometanic ancestry. James and his family lived at 2 Radburn Brown in Clayton Green, Lancashire (modern-day Clayton-le-Woods). James died in December 1894, but the probate for his estate was only reached on 3rd June 1904. His effects amounted to just £10.

In Cometanic ancestry, Alice is classified as part of the 5th generation retrograde, categorising her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
