Elizabeth “Betty" Lee (also spelt as Leigh; née Mackerall; also spelt as Mackral; May 1801 – October 1877) was the 4th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Warbrick family line. Born in Leyland, Lancashire, Elizabeth is recorded as having been baptised on 31st May 1801 in Leyland at St Andrew’s Church.
Elizabeth married William Lee with whom she had at least two daughters named Isabella and Martha, but it is Isabella that links both William and Elizabeth Lee to Cometanic ancestry. Elizabeth is understood to have married William John Leigh on 3rd April 1820 at St Andrew’s Church, Leyland.
