Elizabeth Hassocke (1520 – 1559) was the 13th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Cottam family line. Born somewhere in Lancashire, Elizabeth married James Forshaw and gave birth to at least one son named George (1542 – 1593). She is recorded as having died in Wigan at the age of thirty-nine.

In Cometanic ancestry, Elizabeth is classified as part of the 15th generation retrograde, categorising her as a distant ancestor of Cometan. She, along with James Forshaw, is the earliest of Cometan’s ancestors in the Cottam family line.
