The elasticity of Astronism, often referred to as conceptual elasticity, pertains to the ability of the organised philosophy to encourage debate and the justified rejection of its beliefs and concepts, after which the philosophy is able to resume and retain its identity due to its own adherence to the principles of the Philosophical Spirit and motionalism. The elastic nature of Astronism demonstrates one of its fundamental characteristics and also defines it from the majority of other religious and philosophical systems.
