Astronism in Kurdistan refers to the presence of the Astronist philosophy and religion in Kurdish majority territories. The operations of the Astronist Institution in this country are under jurisdiction of the Astronist Superiate of the Kurdish Peoples, a national subsidiary of the worldwide Astronist Institution under partial jurisdiction of both the Astronist Superiate of Turkey, the Astronist Superiate of Iran, the Astronist Superiate of Syria, and the Astronist Superiate of Iraq.
The Astronist Superiate of the Kurdish Peoples oversees the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction. The Astronist Superiate of the Kurdish Peoples also resides over the construction and maintenance of the Kurd’s only Grand Observatory, which is set to be situated in Erbil, in the Republic of Iraq.
This national branch of the Astronist Institution manages the official representation and depiction of Astronism throughout this territory, including efforts to protect the identity of the philosophy with the intention of further disseminating it throughout the territory.
It is the Institution alone that is granted the status of proprietor to the philosophy in this territory as any other organisations or institutions proclaiming such a role are deemed as unauthorised proprietors and are therefore considered as part of the anti-Institutionist movement.
