Astronism in India refers to the presence of the Astronist philosophy and religion in the Republic of India. The operations of the Astronist Institution in this country are under jurisdiction of the Astronist Superiate of India, a national subsidiary of the worldwide Astronist Institution.
The Astronist Superiate of India oversees the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction. India is split into twenty-nine states and is set to hold two Grand Observatories; the first of which is the capital city of New Delhi and the second in the city of Mumbai.
This national branch of the Astronist Institution manages the official representation and depiction of Astronism throughout this territory, including efforts to protect the identity of the philosophy with the intention of further disseminating it throughout the territory.
It is the Institution alone that is granted the status of proprietor to the philosophy in this territory as any other organisations or institutions proclaiming such a role are deemed as unauthorised proprietors and are therefore considered as part of the anti-Institutionist movement.
