Astronism is currently unrecognised by the government in Bhutan and the Astronist Institution has labelled freedom of religion for Astronists in Bhutan as censorious.

Additionally, no Astronist content have been translated into Dzongkha, the official language of the country, which presents another barrier for Bhutanese Astronists.
