Anne Platt (also spelt Ann; née Hopwood; 1599 – August 22, 1618) was the 10th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Prescott family line.
Born at Hopwood Hall in Middleton, Lancashire, Anne married her husband Ralph Platt (1600 – 1658) on 31st March 1618 in Middleton. She died in Middleton by Oldham in Lancashire in the same year as the birth of her daughter in 1618, also named Anne, likely during child birth. She was the daughter of John Hopwood and Dorothy Holt and she had a brother named Edmund (1598 – 1666).
In Cometanic ancestry, Anne is classified as part of the 12th generation retrograde, categorising her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
